Itachi will have a hard time fighting against pain. Amaterasu gets absorbed and tsukiyomi only works at one target at a time. Pain has way more win coins. Itachi healthy or not also is on timer with ms techniques.

Amaterasu only gets absorbed by Preta Path though. The rest still get negged by it. Preta alone isn't stopping Ama spam especially considering the rest are slow as hell.

Also don't know where you're getting Tsukuyomi only working on one target a time. Kakashi's basic sharingan genjutsu worked on 2 Anbu ninjas with one glare

And Itachi has far superior genjutsu than Kakashi with 3T alone let alone MS...

Itachi also put thousands of Aburame clan insects who were looking at him in a Tsukuyomi.

So Tsukuyomi is confirmed to work on multiple targets, thousands if the target is small enough.

Rest is fair. Itachi's biggest problem is CT activation and his own stamina

Pain can use summons to block amaterasu tbf and for genjutsu I am not sure whether sharingan genjutsu can affect superior eyes in rinnegan. But in this type of fights it depends on what the author wants. He can have either of them win depending on the outcome he wants.

I mean he hypothetically could but Ama is way faster than summons. His best bet is to escape the line of sight before Ama is launched.

For the Rinnegan bit, I honestly used to think the same as you but then on a reread, I realised it's never stated anywhere that Rinnegan has genjutsu resistance. Definitely not immunity to it. It's a Mandela effect which was never said.

Itachi can't keep spamming Tsukuyomi on 6 disposable bodies whom also know his trump card. He can only catch one of them. His genjutsu is lethal but against several opponents, it's clear even Itachi has his limits.
