Haki is still his primary ability, Shanks just needs a weapon to channel his haki technique through, he could do the same attacks with a bat or even a simple stick, sword isn't necessary he just prefers it as his weapon of choice.

I’d say we have at least 3-4 chapters left depending on Oda’s pacing

Rocks’ actual death, Harald finding out about and eventually making a deal with Imu, Loki killing Harald (or Harald killing himself), Shanks capturing Loki, etc

Oda could definitely keep it going for a bit so 3-4 is my guess assuming Oda maintains this faster pacing. Could easily be 5 or more
