if you look at the story, all of the god Tier characters dont use swords in this gen. Blackbeard and Luffy dont use Swords, Imu does not use swords why is that these 3 dont use them but almost everyone else does? well because Oda is carefull about stuff like that he knows who Mihawk is and who he needs to be in the future. if he introduced new charcters with swords its because he knows they weaker than him.

i think oda has gone beyond the point of no return overusing black lightning haki

with the introduction of hk and gorosei and domi reversi which all NEED acoc to even start hurting them. it doesn't matter what df or fighting styles anyone has. they will ultimately end up using black lighting.

Going by the kaido fight that has loads of black lightning on both sides lol
To me there was still some nice parts of the fight with luffy and kaido using there DF along with kaido using his weapon.
So once black lightning get add to some interesting DF moves or fighting style i okay with that .
I more worried about how everyone else fights going to get fuck over compare to luffy until manga ends lol

If you go back and look at their exchanges there was a real back and forth there. Large chunks of panels where they were actually going at it and Oda cared to showcase the movement
