Xebec overpowers Roger & Garp and send them flying with a haki burst of his own, only then we get an emphasis on a skysplit.

And don't say it was anime only and go reread the chapters 1043 and 1044, it was cloudy before Gear 5 and the Moon is out after Gear 5, Luffy just did it offscreen in the manga.
