You might not like it, but we have direct statements from Sengoku that BM got stronger since God Valley. She is like 3 years younger than Whitebeard.

You can have clear sky-splits or sky-split equivalents, e.g. - Rocks vs Harald, technically prime WB vs prime Roger was a sky-split equivalent etc...

So your argument is that Oda didn't give WB a sky split or equivalent because what... he already gave one to old WB?

Why didn't he give one to Roger then? Or Garp? Instead he gave a solo sky-split to Xebec — this all sounds like cope.

DR Rocks overpowered everyone. Whitebeard was paralleled with Roger/Garp in breaking one of the two mountains and came out totally unscathed. He looks great here.

The thing is it isn’t even really about the sky split

Oden flashback WB just had much better haki feats. His clash with Roger was so powerful even his ship was getting blown away.
