Imo from now solo sky splitting will be performed by characters that are too strong to belong with top tiers

Rn my only consolation is that WB clashed with DR Rocks and seemingly held his own better than Garp and Roger did.
Also from what I hear he refused Polo's offer of a ship so maybe he'll return for Xebec...in which case Garling might end up getting that fight after all.

What shocks me is that Roger did not stand out from Garp, like AT ALL. There's no way to read this and think Roger looked better than Garp even through cope lenses.

I could see an argument being made that fodders still being conscious would suggest Xebec's haki was not Joyboy level still but Oda proved to be highly inconsistent with that kind of stuff. Also it would've been incovenient for the story to progress if everyone was rendered KO instead of leaving the island. (while in Joyboy case it helped the plot by allowinng the SHs to escape)
