RIP Rocks D. Xebec. Great fucking character. How did his son Blackbeard turn out to be such a piece of shit with no honor lol? Awesome flashback that revealed a whole lot. Now we need to know how Newgate, Kaido, and BM became Emperors after this incident. When was the moment they were labeled as such and why?
We need to also know how Dragon took what he witnessed at God Valley and used it as motivation to become the leader of the Revolutionaries. This was easily the best flashback in OP history for me. I just wish the fight between Garp/Roger vs Rocks was fleshed out a little more, with additional named attacks and more than just slashes. At least it wasn't off-screened completely like the Akainu/Kuzan fight.
We still don't know what Roger or Rocks powers are. I guess they are just way better at using Haki than anyone else in the OP-Verse? Same with Shanks? Roger seemed to use "Divine Departure" like Shanks did.
I'm assuming next chapter we are back to Luffy, Loki, and that whole desperate situation on Elbaph with the nightmare monsters, evil Giants, and kidnapped children. Going from this flashback right into Luffy going to the surface with Loki is gonna be pretty damn hyped.
I do hope the Straw Hat crew eventually goes to God Valley before they hit Raftel at EOS. I don't know if Oda will want that island to remain a mystery in the present or not.

Did Xebec manage to knock anyone out in this entire arc? Garling was still conscious; the Holy Knights, Whitebeard, accidentally cut one of them in half—pure trash. Honestly, Xebec didn't knock anyone out during the entire flashback. The guy's greatest feat was killing an admiral, which isn't good because admirals are pure trash.

Loitering, bantering and making new friends.
And that's it?!

There is no hype for the final villain anymore.
Imu domi reversing Xebec's body aka strongest of his era was already defeated at God Valley by two clowns who weren't even at their peak.
Imu better go into a training arc if he wants to face lord Goofy + ancient weapons (and possibly tag team with Teach).

One other thing, we really need an entire arc dedicated to just the Straw Hats again. Outside of new named attacks, none of these characters have gotten any development or screen-time to talk about their primary goals. I don't think Sanji has referred to All Blue since they made the pact back in early OP..
Guess Oda will establish multiple CoC applications and I just hope he will visualize them, so that we know when they are used.
Cause besides normal CoC coating there really seems to be an all out lvl, probably will be indicated through the attack name and/or bigger haki trails like Zoro's KoH three sword dragon..?
And it is probably what makes Destroyer of Death > Thunder bellow Bagua.
And passive CoC coat seems to be a thing indeed. This might explain how base Luffy was tanking Ragnaroks and such out of a sudden and it explains BM's durability, finally.
That makes the cliff inbetween CoC users and non CoC users even bigger though and should make one inpeneteable for non haki attacks, when on guard. Also means that on guard defense and off guard defense prolly is a thing- Garp getting trashed by Luffy and Dadan f.e.
And a CoC blast can really be so strong that it can physically blast away even other top tiers. Explains how BM could blast away the missiles on Whole Cake.
Guess that takes a dump on gigantic attacks like Entei and movement binding stuff like Doffy's ever white, Katakuri's flowing mochi and GB's forest.
