Kingdom Chapter 857 Spoilers
https://ecohato.com/kingdom-chapter-857-spoilers-raw-engsub-the-honorable-enemy/
Narrator: When they learned of Yotanwa’s fall… Bajio, Tajifu, Shunmen, Kitari, and their four units crushed the enemy like a flame. However, this overwhelming victory was only in the locations of these four units, and this was not enough to change the tide of a battle involving more than 100,000 fighters.
Narrator: Yotanwa’s army, after learning of her fall, and the brilliant strategies implemented by Shunsuiju, made the scales tip clearly and firmly in Zhao’s favor. Moreover, Yotanwa and Danto are now in a difficult situation.
The leader of the “Hundred-Eyes Tribe” appears at Yotanwa’s HQ. They are stunned by his appearance and say that this tribe is mentioned only in legends, and they didn’t think they actually existed among the mountain tribes!
He speaks: “If something bad happened to Yotanwa, someone would appear to take command. But since nothing serious has happened to her for years, that ‘person’ did not appear…” (He means the tribe that acts as a substitute, not a specific individual).
Those at the HQ are shocked and say, “We remember hearing about this from Yotanwa in passing before.”
The tribe leader’s son: “How sad, father. Even those close to her at HQ don’t know our true value! Let me clarify something: For many years, we have been Yotanwa’s hidden advisors, laying out strategies and plans, and supporting her constantly. All of this was attributed to Yotanwa’s genius, everyone praised her for it, and her popularity became more and more entrenched…”
He continues: “Yotanwa said she was hiding our tribe for fear of it being targeted. But the result of that is that she has attributed all the credit for the strategies and tactics to herself over the years.”
They discuss the strategic situation of the battle: “We must pay attention to the Mera tribe, as their opponent is Bananji, a close associate of Riboku. The Feego tribe will most likely be defeated. The four commanders have shown sufficient strength, but the most important thing is that they do not lose.” Then they talk about the tribe leader, his daughter, and their level… etc. Then he informs them that he has sent a request for reinforcements to one of the armies, which is…
Mou Ten… Mou Ten appears, shocked by the news of Yotanwa’s fall, and speaks with the envoy from the Hundred-Eyes Tribe.
Envoy: “Yotanwa is not dead, but from now on, the army will be pushed back hard. Therefore, we request that you send 10,000…”
Mouten’s followers shout: “What? 10,000 at this early stage..!?” while Mouten thinks about it.
Mouten: “Is Yotanwa’s life okay?”
Envoy: “I cannot confirm that, but we are reading the flow of the battle based on her survival.”
Mouten: “Alright. We will send 12,000 and re-evaluate the situation here.”
Mouten explains the increase: “We faced Bananji and we know his strength. He was putting immense pressure on us!”
Mouten asks about his fluency in the plains’ language (Qin language). The envoy replies: “We were the ones who translated for Yotanwa!”
Envoy: “I am glad this conversation went quickly. And don’t forget about the expert archer who shot them!”
Mouten: “I know. Tell them to hold out until our reinforcements arrive.”
Mouten (to himself): “We never expected Yotanwa to fall this quickly. So, Riboku first targeted the army closest to the capital Kantan, Yotanwa’s army, and struck it directly…
Honestly… I was focusing on the left front, the battlefield where the Hi Shin Unit is, because there are some worrying factors… half of their army is composed of former Jeongan soldiers. But I didn’t expect to have to send reinforcements to Yotanwa’s army!”
The scene shifts to Kyoukai’s army facing Kisui… 50,000 vs 20,000.
Kyoukai is afraid to involve the Jeongan army, arguing that if they participate on the flanks and close in on them (betray them), she will be in a pincer move from both flanks while Kisui’s army is already in front of her!
A 16-year-old envoy arrives, bearing the same “Rakwakan” markings on his face. It is Rakwakan’s son. He asks Kyoukai to let them participate, by order of “Yukoyuko”.
Kyoukai talks with him for a bit and asks if he holds a grudge against Qin for killing his father.
He tells her he spoke with his father (Rakwakan) before they left, and his father refused his departure while smiling, because the Qin army his son is staying with is an… “Honorable Enemy” (the chapter title).
Kyoukai gives his army a name (Luwa… Rakwakan… [The summarizer is unsure, but this is the name in Kanji]). He charges into battle and decimates the enemies, and the result becomes different than before.
Narrator: There was a man watching from a distance what was happening with the former Jeongan forces. It is the number one ranked among the Ten Bows. He stood frozen in place for a few moments, but then set off again, arriving at the field of his next target… Shin.
