Theory Oda is likely setting up Koby to eat a god fruit

#1
Koby is the successor of Garp and given how important Garp was in GV, I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if Koby was top 10-top 5 by EoS.

While Koby obviously has immense haki potential, the most logical route for Oda to accomplish this is by Koby eating a god fruit or some other top tier ability.

There were 3 key players in GV: Roger, Garp, and Rocks

In the void century, there were 2 major forces opposing Imu: Joyboy and Davy. But I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a third major figure revealed as the predecessor to the marine admirals: Sora the warrior of the sea, who’s exploits were stated to be based off actual historical events.

I feel like Sora’s power would probably be the power of the Sea God. Sora was called the Warrior of the Sea, and he was said to be able to walk on water.

Likewise Koby has shown himself to be an excellent swimmer. If the sea god fruit somehow has an immunity to the standard DF weakness to the ocean, it would be the perfect fruit for Koby.

I think this fruit could possibly belong to the burn scar man, who can create whirlpools, hinting at an ability that can control the ocean.

Aside from Blackbeard presumably obtaining and consuming a third DF, I think the ship has largely sailed on this kind of thing.

I think Koby consuming a DF could be really cool, I just don't see it happening any more.

Same goes for Usopp feeding a DF to his weapon courtesy of Vegapunk.

We're nearly 1200 chapters in. Nothing is impossible, I just know my expectations are set extremely low on Oda feeding DF to any characters, let alone prominent ones beside Blackbeard.

Theory makes no sense bro. Koby getting some whirlpools fruit isnt remotely suggested nor any fruit for that matter. Oda had the guy use geppo underwater to highlight his skill post timeskip. And you think he just gonna take that away from him

If a DF can control the ocean, it’s possible standard DF weaknesses don’t apply to it

There will be a panel of Kat running from Koby like Big Mom running from Garp in God Valley
"Can't your future sight tell you how this is gonna end Kat?"

koby has specifically had a scene highlighting his swimming ability so i think hes going to be a hakiman like garp. garp says the kid is his successor and he's got one of the better punching feats in the series already

Absolutely. Koby is the EOS GOAT marine and people here aren't ready

Oda is clearly setting up Koby to be Garps successor, which means no DF and only using Haki and his fists. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn’t paying attention.

The ocean fruit isn’t even my theory, people have been theorizing it forever

the burn scar man is evidence it could possibly exist
You only want it to be true, so you’re cherry picking bits and pieces that fit your predetermined narrative. A Ocean Ocean fruit makes zero sense within the world of One Piece.
