Break Week swordsmen ruined One Piece

What Haki?
99% of Swordsmen in Present Story have Sword-Styles that are based on Powers other than Haki,
Only Zoro & Shanks rely mainly on Haki, and Zoro's Style is Extremely Detailed & Varied,
While Shanks is a Fan Favorite,

You're not bothered by Swordsmen,
You're bothered with Reveal that Old Era Legends (Xebec, Roger, Rayleigh, Harald, Oden) are also Swordsmen.
They are just Flashback Characters, most of them are Dead & not Part of Present Story,

Swordfighting in OP wasnt about choreography

It was about technique, philosophy, fundamentals. Thats what made sword fights esp with Zoro so great or his power ups really shine. It wasnt about js getting stronger but getting more skilled and understanding the nature of his swords

Cue haki and now everything about having bigass haki and advanced haki. Too linear and power lvl bullshit. Theres still some nice sword philosophy in there like Enma being a cursed blade but haki ruins the mystique nature of it all. Oda always finds a way to tie it back to autistic crayon scribbles

Oda knew op anime had reach complete new lvl interms creative fight that isn't exactly shown in the manga.
Fights in manga that is barely 6/10, anime made it look like 9/10 ( might still 6/10 if you're not fan of over the top flashy animation)
I'm kin to believe that he handed most of the work when it comes to battle scenes in the hands of Toei nowadays...... that's why fights become more and more mid and was all over the place

Yea Zoro/Luffy fights were better creatively before haki lightning was a thing.
Pure raw fighting scenes look better in Oda's hands.
Drawing fights with haki all over the place absolutely ruin the tempo and creativity.
Name attack/special attack just becomes some random sword swing with haki.
They can have 10 different move, but the visual would be the same sword swing + haki, with stronger move = bigger haki, that's it
