Why are we granting Obito the ability to use Izanami,lol?
It's kind of vague on who he would work on, since it's a bit of an asspull Jutsu,but it wouldn't be reasonable to assume it works on anyone with character flaws. I'm not sure at what point in Itachi's life he would have had trouble admitting who he is. Obito on the other hand, is basically a Kabuto parallel

No it wouldn't. You're genuinely trolling if you think such a situational jutsu with very specific conditions and easy way to break out would work on Obito who was taught everything there was to know from Madara himself

In the third war, they were recruited by a shadowy predator, who took them in, and exploited their insecurities/fears, and eventually when that figure died, they took up their identity,Orochimaru and Madara of course, but before the end, they decided to save Naruto/Sasuke
It gets even worse, when you realize Izanami was specifically made to counter Izanagi spam
And who is the Uchiha member in the series who we see use Izanagi the most/first, going as far as to wipe out his clan for the spare eyes, so he could specifically use it,lol?
Not exaggerating to say that Obito is a walking Izanami victim, it was specifically made for people like him, arguably people who had less extreme version of his traits and abuse of Izanagi,lol.
