The real YC characters were the appetizer. He fought 4 YCs and 4 Mid Tiers all at the same time, and swapped them aside like flies.
This had 2 Low Top Tiers and 1 Mid to High Top Tier.

2 from law - gamma knife didnt hit hit the heart
Yamato thunder bagua - ulti recovered from this
and metal shavings from kidd (one shot material literally)
then stab wounds from kinemon and kiku
if he wasnt a retard in dragon form
a lot of these could be avoided .

Kaido and Big Mom lost with dignity since they lost with asterisks, a lot of top tiers are going to drop like flies in the final stretch. They’ll probably go down in a couple of hits and show nothing new. Imagine your favorite top tier getting mid diffed by a generic CoC Sanji kick, and you’re talking this much trash right now. 😭😭😭
Only Teach chads are guaranteed to have a good time tbh. I guess Mihawk fans should feel safe too since his fight has been built up for so long. Remember, majority will not get a fleshed out fight like this.

Iron Garp, wielding PK-level Haki, gets pierced and badly injured by Shiryu's sword, while everyone else cries because Kaido withstood Oden's finisher, which left Kaido with a scar larger than Garp's entire body.
I've been saying this for the longest time: Whitebeard had the most destructive power/offence, but Kaido had the strongest defence (durability/endurance). And that is what makes Kaido win 1 on 1.
When WB was introduced, what was the most hype thing about him? It was that he ostensibly had the power "to destroy the world". It wasn't his durability, since even Squard stabbed him, but his ability to destroy shit.
But Kaido's introduction was entirely different. Oda wasn't emphasizing his destructive ability, but his defence. Everyone tried to kill him. No one could. Not even himself. His "hobby" was suicide.
And that is why Kaido always wins in a pure 1 on 1. He just outlasts everyone.
When you go blow for blow, mano a mano/1 on 1, he will just outlast you. That is the difference between humans and "monsters", which is also what Roger called Imu, "black monster".

A precision. The power of destruction of WB was actually introduced very late (in MF). What was hype about WB was his relationship with Roger as he was introduced as Roger's rival. Therefore, WB was a way to have a glimps of Roger's strenght and the ceiling of power of the OPverse. This is why WB was hype at the time. And later, it's not his power, but his durability who created respect.
