Tbf to Harald, he doesn’t have much of a choice. He wants Elbaf to join the global society and repair their old reputation, and that drive is an overcorrection from his past self. He constantly carries guilt and responsibility, so he’s fixated on mending everything, but that same guilt is also clouding his judgement.

He also probably thinks he has no right to fully reject how the World Government operates because of said guilt and Elbaf’s violent history. It’s all of that combined, plus the fact that he still doesn’t have the full access to info like we do.
I agree. Harald is a complex character.
Tbh almost all the Kings/Queens of the Kingdom we know had to face tough crossroads: Cobra, Othoime, Riku, Harald are all examples of that.
I think it's fair to critic how some of them acted in the end, but it's not fair to underrate the difficulty of the situations they were in. They're all humans at the end of the day.

Are you referring to the admiral who died under suspicious circumstances? Doesn't the fact that he was killed in Mary Geoise and that Xebec held hostages tell you anything?
Wait, are you agreeing with the fact the only Admiral who got killed was nerfed and Admirals are restrained and nerfed in Mary Geoise? Cause if that's it, i'm on your side lmao.

Also, Kaido, BM and Garling. These are Webec victims(Admiral Jiaga upscale)

Garling fans should not be mad at Garling or Xebec for the clowning

They should be mad at Oda for gaslighting fans into believing he was actually sum type shit on god valley

Honestly, this SBS only makes us think that this is Oda's thinking when it comes to strong characters; maybe we're creating unrealistic expectations.

Like, for Oda, Garling is strong, but it didn't seem impressive compared to what we have, and that's okay. According to Oda, he's strong, and this reasoning continues to be applied to the rest.

He got stronger either for losing from Rocks and then trained more or thanks to imu's power. Or both.

Characters are not strong from the beginning. When whitebeard started his pirate career was not that strong either probably.
