I just don't understand how someone can create a character like Oden and then the same guy can create a character like Kizaru. I think Oda is cheating when it comes to the zodiac Admirals and just copies the actors and their roles, that's why they are so peak.

How Oda hypnotized fans into not realizing that Kizaru is just yet another character that's built to make fans sympathize with him despite him being a really fucking terrible person is beyond me

It depends what Oda does next, this adds some serious depth to his character, the likes of which is very rare for Oda. Kizaru isn't comically evil to the point where he has no attachment to any person out there, but he can still be a cold blooded killer.

Kizaru was always connected to science, the pacifista project etc
So a link with Vegapunk was expected

I would have preferred to the friendship to be more explored but it wasn’t bad at all

Kizaru the unbothered one finally lashing out and yelling at Akainu should be the most anticipated episode in the anime. That is absolute cinema waiting to happen.

The problem is that Kizaru and Vegapunk’s friendship felt flat. Oda should’ve cut the needlessly long Kuma flashback 1-2 chapters short and given us more of Kizaru and Vegapunk’s backstory. All we really got to show that they’re besties or whatever was a few slideshow panels of Kizaru helping Vegapunk build Egghead. It’s hard to really care about Kizaru’s emotional conflict during the arc when his friendship with Vegapunk had no substance to it.

It’s weird because Sentomaru and Kizaru actually had a cool dynamic going on in Egghead. Oda did a good job at conveying their emotional connection when they clashed, you could actually believe that they had an uncle-nephew dynamic. With what was presented to us in the story, Akainu seems like a better fit for being Kizaru’s bestie than Vegatard does.

Now since GV is pretty much over,
imagine going back in time to 2011 and telling readers, the greatest event in the manga's history, where the strongest characters from the old era gathered, was all about a thot and majority of the event consisted of characters running around, a few clashes and comic relief scenes

Oh boy can't wait for the final of - panel war to happen anytime soon

One pIece fights are not a turn based RPG, lol. Koby doesn't have good speed or durability, which is why Oda had him getting bruised up by fodder in Kuja island, and saved from Boa Hancock by Blackbeard. Kuzan arguably negs, Koby would need significant help to even land a hit

Yea that's true. Kizaru and Sentomaru has a lot more weight behind it than Kizaru and VP, Oda didn't really give Kiz/VP the same level of care as the Kiz/Sen duo. But Sentomaru is part of his turmoil during the arc too.
