Whole Cake Island was a graduation moment for the Strawhats because they were officially in conflict with Emperors.

Nope. Both Kaido and Goofball acknowledged that the latter was already on his last legs. He never fully recovered from the earlier damage, so they were both worn down by that point. Unlike the Doffy fight, where Doffy had to deal with the Gamma Knife band-aid problem the entire time. Luffy did not have any equivalent nerfs here.

This is is completely off base, we disagree on too much for this to be worthwhile.

And Luffy conveniently only used a Temu version of Kong Gatling (Kong Organ), forget about KKG which Luffy had to pull out against Doffy while having a flashback talking to Rayleigh about beasts that were too tough for ordinary Kong Guns and required an upgraded version.

Doffy had to take two of the strongest supernovas ultimate attacks while passively stalling and slicing through an entire country and people think he is on par, let alone inferior to a bum like Cracker.

It wasn't even a fight. We saw what happened on screen: an obese Luffy gulping Cracker's soldiers while being at Cracker's disposal and all Cracker did was complaining. He couldn't even get past King Baum.

Had Luffy started with a Kong Gatling, he probably would've mauled Cracker.

Luffy vs Cracker was just a troll fight to waste time, so Sanji could reach the plateau.

Similar thing here, the "children" in this case are just the OP community in general. Hard to leave a community you've built such a strong connection to over the years, and it can also be hard to quit something that you've been a huge fan of for years on end, even outside of the "I've got so many friends that are huge OP fans" thing.

Similarly, if I fall out of love with a manga or anime then I just stop reading or watching it. I love Dragon Ball and I didn’t love Super that much so I stopped reading the manga, I didn’t go see the movies, I just stopped interacting with it. It’s very hard for me to comprehend continuing something that I just no longer enjoy at all

A lot of people here are very open about not liking literally anything about modern day One Piece. Why would you engage so much with a manga and community that you no longer care about? I “get” it but it’s pretty hard to understand
