Is Manta not Observation Haki then
Mantra is Observation Haki.

Ryuo is Armament Haki.

Power of Love is not any form Haki.

Oda explicity confirmed Garp didn't not use Haki to hurt Luffy here.

If Rouge and Kuma were capable of what they did because of PoL, I don't Haki had any part in Rouge's ability to carry Ace for as long as she did, or Kuma breaking free to return to Bonney.

Confirmed Power of Love users so far
- Garp
- Sanji

All but confirmed
- Rouge
- Kuma

Highly possible
- Luffy
- Roger
- Whitebeard
- Gaban
- Kuja Empresses

Reasonably possible
- Shanks
- Nami
- Chopper
- Sabo

Personal belief
- Hirikuk
- Zef

PoL will likely get a new name once oda actually expands on it. So far it just has been a catch all for why some characters can do impossible things like why Sanji can kick light or why Kuma can move without any thought

The PoL argument is so tired man

One side believes it’s haki

The other side believes it’s a separate thing entirely

Neither side will ever agree with the other so what’s the point in wasting time arguing about it?

The whole goal of a debate is to change someone’s mind regarding a particular topic. No one is going to budge so it’s pointless

Yeah, and I feel like the fact it doesn't actually have a name contributes to disagreements about Sanji's hidden abilities. Imo it's likely a buccaneer ability, WB was possibly part buccaneer and I wouldn't be surprised if he could use that power as well.

Vegapunk said the thing. It's probably not going to change because it's catch-all nature is why it's called Power of Love in the first place.

It is a phenomenon distinct from Haki that defies biology and physics. I don't think Oda will ever explain it in great detail.

Oda was trolling imo.
:seriously:C'mon, son. He answered a question about Haki with a denial.

How do you explain Sanji's shadow defying the power of Moria's Devil Fruit?

If Oda doesn’t give it guidelines than PoL is poorly written. It needs limitations to make sense imo

Then it's a good thing we have the author on record making the distinction. The issue is that people want it to be another way.

And other examples that have no indication of Haki - like Rouge carrying Ace for so long, and Kuma returning to Bonney.

We will see who stands corrected soon in elbaph :BigW:

Haki is a mess but at least has guidelines tbh
It has guidelines, sure, but the lack of clarity is more in the depiction of application.

People understand the "rules" of Haki, but Oda isn't the best at providing clarity in his art, e.g. when Armament and Conqueror's Haki are combined.

I'd say ambiguity is all but an inherent plus for a concept such as the Power of Love. Oda should stay away from defining it too narrowly or peeling back layers with "rules" - it's not necessary.
