The timeline indicated that Yasopp was in Shank’s crew when the spoilers say Shanks was a HK. I just skimmed but that detail stuck out. Both could be true and Shanks was a dual agent.

Yasopp rejected the invitation at first. I assume that shanks re-recruited him 14 years ago and like Queen just joined at a later time

I'm saying that whenever a character does act moronic, they typically aren't praised for it. Oden is still praised and treated like some type of god despite him being a lobotomite.

Because at end of the day it's still a self-sacrifice to the people of Wano. You as a fan agreeing with it is irrelevant.

He threw away his dignity to apologize on behalf of the sins of the Wano people, while also protecting them by doing that. His only flaw was him believing he could take out Kaido when he wanted, and ignoring the transformation of Wano when it was happening when they dropped off the wife n kids. But this is also somebody who never had interest in being a leader and only took over that position to fullfill the goal of "opening the borders".

I think Doffy is a great in character writing. But do you think he was being smart when actively provoking Fujitora?

The same yellow man who later shoots a pinpoint accurate laser to destroy the key, didn't have the brains to headshot luffy. The same yellowman who moronically thought it was smarter to aim for Whitebeard's torso, rather than his head.
The three idiots also sat on their thrones, like complete morons while Whitebeard pirates destroyed the walls and invaded.

All of these decisions prolonged the war, resulting in the deaths of lord knows how many marines and further destruction of Marineford.

Will be entertaining to see you refute these, while agreeing in the past that these are "PIS".

So we care about complexities when it comes to the admirals, but throw them away when it's a character we don't fuck with, got it.

Again... People like Doffy aren't praised for their dumb decisions. Oden is.
Think of how many characters worship and look up to him. Even Whitebeard called him a brother.
Oden simply never did anything to deserve that level of praise. He was an idiot until the day he died.

Sengoku could've put down Ace himself the moment he thought Luffy or etc were getting closer. He instead decided to confront them. He could've grabbed Ace himself and just jumped away from the platform and retreated further back, chose not to.

I don't hold these as accounts of stupidity or things to bash characters over or take into account when talking about how well a character is written. Cause PIS is a thing at end of the day for every single character. It's just weird when people are selective about it.
