And his dream is working, most of the next generation of Elbaf don’t want to fight and colon is treated like the weird one for wanting to.
His country is a backwater island. Forget IMU, who hasn't done anything against giantkin until now. For the past ten years, giant society has only gone backwards. Nobody comes here, and nobody from here is thriving. Where's Harald's dream in this? He only broke the new generations, without furnishing them with the means to improve neither themselves or the country as a whole. We've seen small human villages better than this in OP.

you brought up the Revolutionary Army as what Elbaph could aspire to be
Thrice I've explained, in bold wording, why I brought the RA up.
Either learn to read, or simply stop replying.

I've already answered your point about the destroyed RA nation as well, if only you bothered to read.
As I've addressed the giant society Harald wanted vs what the giant society actually appears to want.

Did Harald really make a mistake? What other choice did he have? He went with whatever gave Elbaf a chance at peace with the rest of the world. How could he have known of Imu's true nature as not only the king of the world but the actual devil who uses magic to make his targets submit? Before being invited to the throne room Harald didn't even know of Imu's existence. He's far from as naive as Oden who was aware of the enemy throughout his years of sorry attempts at diplomacy. Harald did his best to serve Elbaf. He didn't even fail as hard as we thought he will, the giants' reputation improved across the world. He couldn't finish what he set out to do but laid the groundwork for future successors. Just like Roger? Xebec, Joyboy.
Imu and him don't share the same interest, Imu wants Elbaph to be his war puppet, continue the old way of life and remain barbaric. Harald follows Gorosei's order because he doesn't know about Imu's existence. Imu's existance is a taboo and that time Harald knows Imu, I think it triggers suspicion inside Harald, just like Vivi's dad. So the more Imu's order Harald to do his biding, the more suspicous he had which could makes Harald thinks this is a mistake, not the way he is pursuing for his people and allies. Look, it just my speculation, based on the early spoiler, Harald may not even sees anything wrong and follow Imu's order without any hesitation.

And you ignored my response. My point is that the surviving nations who rebelled from the WG basically only exist by virtue of the World Government’s scheduling lmfao. They exist simply because the WG hasn’t gotten around to destroying them yet.

Your whole argument is “see these nations who rebelled from the WG haven’t been eradicated yet!!!” And like, yeah it’s that “yet” part which you are completely ignoring lmfao. Like I said, Harald doesn’t want a few decades of peace for the giants followed by their complete eradication, he wants permanent peace. Which is what Harald critics can’t seem to wrap their minds around.

CoC: Color of Clowns

Whacky Arm Waving Inflatable Imu-chan
Alright, so makes sense this is probably why Harald decided to let Loki kill him, but doesn’t explain why he took the fruit
Maybe Harald told Loki that Loki was the one who needed to eat it?

Harald prophesized Loki killing him to begin with, so, I wonder how much other stuff Harald foresaw.

The reason Loki didn't tell anyone Harald was betrayed by the WG is clear: Elbaph loves Harald to pieces, they would 1000% declare war on the WG if they found out what happened, and be crushed.

Loki covered up the WG involvement in Harald's death, and took the blame, to keep Elbaph from invading Marijoa/declaring war on the WG. To protect Elbaph.

Now that the God's Knights/Imu are attacking directly, though, there's NO point in keeping it under wraps, so, Elbaph will likely declare war against the WG very soon. Which fits into their ties with Usopp/Sogeking, who Luffy instructed to shoot down the WG Flag in Enies Lobby, a declaration of war against the WG.

Harald really help the country .
He made all the villages trade and talk to each other and make it easier to get to them .
Stop the civil wars in country and even having school not a bad idea.
Man issue is he went way to far in next direct in the last few decades.
That end up really hurt the new gen cause once old gen gone they were fucked.
They lost 100 plus warriors the day he died and there would be none of the new gen to replace them but colon lol.

"Yet" in present time, after VP managed to power the Mother Flame.
38 years ago IMU didn't have the means to completely eradicate an entire island.

I've already replied to your permanent peace. Harald's own foundation for it is wrong, because he is not accounting for the giants who don't want peace and diplomacy and who want to be warriors, not necessarily pillaging pirates, like his own son. Rebuilding Elbaf without them in mind is bound to backfire one way or another.

Again, for me, little armchair reader who has all the pieces of intel, the best course of action would've been for Harald to do deals with human nations in exchange for protection. They're afraid of giant scourges? Well, here's the solution: those giant scourges will now protect you from anything else around. And in the meantime, let our people mingle, let us show you that we aren't monsters, but that we have a rich culture, too.

It worked for WB. It could've worked for Harald. All he had to do is not reject his heritage so thoroughly, but use his people's might for peace.

Even if he thought the WG was the only solution, Xebec had given Harald more than enough information to make him realize that it's not tenable, that the WG are backstabbing rats who revel in genocidal games.

How's that for transcendent peace, Lee? The giantkin gets to be a part of the WG, as long as it partakes in the WG's crimes. Nice future Elbaf would have then.

Could see that.
As strong as giants are we had 3 god knight fucking them up so they just really strong fodder.
There would be destroy by the WG or Imu would made his move sooner if they attack the WG .

WorstGen wasn’t joking when he said it’s a setup chapter

Definition of a chapter that serves as a bridge for the next one

On the bright side the Loki stuff sounds nice and it seems like we’ll be getting a bit more Shanks before it’s all over

Few chapters left!
