I see this a lot on Twitter too, so many right wing dudes yap about how they "need to go back to the old times" and how the 50s were just so much better than our current times.
The times where queer people are hated far more than they are today, and women were treated like shit, and minorities (black people specifically) were treated like shit... Is better than what we have today, to them... Wonder why...

I miss the SJW political correctness era of the internet

I remember hating the SJWs when I was young, but growing up I came to realize those folks were right about a lot of things.

Maybe it’s just nostalgia and imperfect memory, but I feel like the Obama era was like the best time in the last 30 years, at least for Americans. And ever since then the world has gotten progressively shittier.
