Your mind went to those two instead of Sanji when I said hyperfeminist????

The entire point of the conversation was to say that some right wingers are still One Piece fans. You clearly came into the conversation knowing that, but ignored it just to get the catharsis you get from shitting on another people for no reason

He made an audiobook with Goofy's VA (thanks to AI) explaining why the story of One Piece is political.

Basically breaking the 4th wall to explain to idiots that only read the manga for power-scaling that the message of the story isn't encouraging mass deportation but multi-culturalism in a world against tyranny
2026 Audiobook of the year already locked in and we're not even in 2026 yet :christnally:

But I mentioned in Logiko's recent callout thread earlier that topics about real life politics should stay in the politics thread unless One Piece starts bringing up/referencing real life historical events into their chapters.

Wasn't joking either.
One Piece is political. This is one of the main part of it's content and relevance. Not talking about a major part of One Piece in a One Piece forum, meaning politics, is as dumb as refusing to talk about powerscaling because we are afraid of fandom conflict. There is no logical reason - outside of refusing to moderate - to prevent it as conflict can happen no matter. This section should be visible.

Someone made a joke about liking Zoro because they think he'd be a MAGA supporter and it went downhill from there
People make comments that create heating discussions all the time, this is not a good excuse

This forum wants to have open discussions even heated, but refuses to have political ones out of fear of chaos, yet it doesn't mind letting reactionnaries spread dangerous rethorics for chaos purpose.. don't you see the paradox ?

It doesn't mean that right wingers can't enjoy the series, RyoQ has been in this exact thread saying the craziest shit yet he's also an OP fan lol
Not to mention the people here that spout dumb gymbro bullshit that's typically done by right wingers, yet are still OP fans
Right winger usually won't understand what they are reading, that's why it's important to have political discussions. It allows us to be in synch with the content (or ahead, depending)

My point is if you’re letting a children’s book character affect your real world political beliefs then you’re absolutely braindead and way too parasocially attached to this series. It’s fine if you let your political beliefs affect the type of media you consume but the other way around is stupid. ESPECIALLY if the media is something as shallow and childish as Onepiss. Deeper stuff is fine but this series really isn’t something you should be letting affect your beliefs
This is completely ignorant.

You are influenced in your political positions all the time, you don't suddenly get them through the void, but various sources. This means that if you have read or watch stories, you were with 100% probabilities influenced by them. Either in good, or bad.

Sanji isn't even a feminist
There are no feminists in the OP crew. They do not really need to think about it. All members are equal in rights, pôwer an treatment and they have a strong enough defense not to be affected by the exterior. You could say that Nami would benefit it a little with Brook and Sanji creeping in sometime tho, Zoro too as he struggles a lot with the notion of power and women

He treats women like they're all inherently goddesses lol
Nah, Sanji is not a profem. He was educated in a highly patriarcal environment so he has a hard time focusing his feeling positively with women. He is also highly insecure about himself at times but I think that the more we arrive to the end and the more he will learn to value himself with positive respect, the calmer he will get around women.
