I know, I feel like a fucking lunatic because I just can’t believe that NOBODY in power gives a fuck about making things easy for the rest of the country; like, there’s zero indication that anyone in the government or those who runs major corporations recognize or are inclined to do anything about the irreversible harm their decisions are doing to the economy, the environment, or the millions of regular folks who just wanna live comfortably without fearing violence or homelessness…the compassion deficit these conservative cunts have caused is the real problem, nobody cares about other people anymore and I truly don’t see any way we can get back to respecting each other

Oh they do recognize what harm they are doing and they like it. The only way for them to live comfortably is to feed on the people's fear of violence and homelessness.
The first step is to change "If things don't change" to "If we don't make things change". Refuse the docility. Join a union. Check in your local neighborhood if there is a local activist association, a far leftist and organized kind. Find good political ressources. If you want I can guide you for that.
