MoistCr1TiKal Calls Mihawk A Fraud In Front Of 20 Million People

Zoro throwing away his pride to be trained by his enemy for the sake of protecting the crew is a great moment though?
It’s really not. I guess the subtle character development for Mihawk is nice but it’s a lame moment and it made me cringe so hard. The only way that moment can be redeemed is if Shiryu or someone kills Mihawk and replaces him as the final opponent for Zoro actually giving their training some emotional weight and meaning.

Otherwise it’s gonna be a snooze fest graduation farewell party. Worst part is, Oda can’t even draw sword fights anymore.

Zoro vs Mihawk is gonna be an absolute joke in the manga

I think Oda's trying to be cautious with Mihawk. He can't use just anyone as his hypetool in both ways, for example him just dunking on Vista would have been nice but not that great in the grand scheme of things
And something like him beating Issho would be great but has to be handled with care. It has to be written well and not just be a way of him having a hypetool
Not sure if this'll make sense
If anything I'm thankful for this

Shanks fans are really the only (main) ones that genuinely enjoyed the Greenbull wifi haki moment. To the point where an entire chunk of the community (not just Admiral fans, don't cope) call it "Film Red promotion" because of how random and stupid it was

Essentially feeding a newly introduced character like Greenbull to the wolves was so goofy and it felt out of place

That's why it's super annoying to hear that Zoro fans want Oda to do the same thing and "feed" Fuji/Sengoku to Mihawk simply to hype him. Someone like Garling getting trashed in a flashback is fine because we know that isn't Garling's peak, there's a lot more of his story left to tell and he still had room for growth (similar to BB who's constantly clowned but everyone knows he hasn't reached the pinnacle)

In the current day all it does is kill the interest in characters that will remain the same going into the final saga. Truthfully no one really wants to see these strong characters used as hypetools

It's cool and all but once you actually sit down and think about it for a moment you realize just how dumb it is

Don’t worry about it twin. Oda had no problem feeding Mihawk to the vicious wolves like Vista and Crocodile. He’s one of the last characters that’s gonna hypetool other more relevant characters in the series.

At the last game awards he got the award for content creator of the year.

For reference that had more views than the american super bowl and basically all global sport events.

That platform is being to call Mihawk a fraud
No one cares about a gay and retarded gamer

Mihawk is a legend and a certified GOAT OP character. And so is Shanks. The wank wars are stupid.

Realistically Oda's gonna give him a chance to show his strength at some point

I just hope it doesn't come at the cost of another character. Shanks ending the war in Marineford is an effective way to showcase a character's strength and influence without killing anyone's hype

Oda could easily have Mihawk do something similar to that. Maybe not quite on the same scale but at least an acknowledgement of the threat Mihawk poses

Gonna be hard to get Mihawk out of the red and into the green again though. Marineford did irreparable damage to how he's perceived in the eyes of the fans

I'm not gonna hold your hand through this, you're presumably a grown adult. You can understand what I'm saying just fine.
I understand your point, it´s just a dumb one? If Oda is being more conservative with Mihawk then other characters, that proves the argument of people saying he´s a fraud. No one thinks Mihawk is a real person should be criticized outside the context of the story he exists in

Like I said Oda's just being meticulous. No reason to think this deeply about it

Yeah, he´s being pretty meticulous when he pares Mihawk with Crocodile and Vista in the same arc he pairs Shanks up with Akainu and Kaido, I don´t disagree with that

Talking about his feats and portrayal is ¨thinking deeply¨?
Crocodile attacked him once out of anger, and Vista was clearly Mihawk holding back, unless you think the Scabbards are equal to Kaido
