Idk, I think Luffy vs the Twenty Kings was foreshadowed decades ago. You can’t tell me Oda isn’t planing to draw this:
He isn’t going to have Joy Boy lose to the Twenty Kings and then not draw Nika beating them. That’s the whole point, Nika finishes what Joy Boy started and failed at.
It also fulfills Whitebeard’s speech about the one who will arrive to challenge the past 800 years of history, this would be Nika doing that literally.
If Oda were still alive this could all be quite good.

The discussion is about the theory that Joy Boy sent the One Piece into the future. If this is the case, the Twenty Kings never truly won at all, they would have incentive to follow the One Piece into the future to fully defeat Joy Boy.

Only a Sun God can use the treasure to its full potential.

The treasure is there in the present, on Raftel, Roger found it but he couldnt do anything with it.
I dont think a Sun God can truly die, he only enters a cycle of rebirth once killed.
The body undergoes that cycle just like the Monkey King does in other literature while the soul roams in the form of a Devil Fruit.
