What we know:

Loki hates Shanks
Loki calls Shanks a coward
Loki calls him a great pirate

It is possible that Loki was going to do something really stupid like attack the WG or something and Shanks stopped him, they fought. One was defeated. This would explain the ressentment, calling him a coward and all but still keeping some sort of respect for him by calling him a great pirate.

I dont think he was found or raised, I think he legit is some sort of demon that possessed the Nerona King. King of like the Dwarf in the flask created a copy of Hohenheim to possess if you watched FMAB.

Loki and Shanks are secretly working together, that's why Loki actually knows where he is (let's assume he wasn't lying). He's only pretending to hate him for x reason.
Oda will not have his morally perfect wonder boy be responsible for framing an innocent
Loki committing rampage after sailing is irrelevant btw, the reason for Loki punishment is because it is believed he killed Harald out of malice, or Shanks knows that's false.

Could also be that Shanks had a crewmate jump in to help finish off Loki towards the end of the fight.

Imo that would fit with his whole schtick of having a super balanced crew + not always fighting fair.

I could see Oda doing this in a similar way to Kuzan at Hachinosu, have him deal 90% of the damage and remain standing while Loki is downed.

Basically, the dwarf in the flask was an entity that was locked in a bottle. Convinced a guy to let it free and perform a ritual, ritual sacrified an entire country = Led to the creation of a human copy of the guy that fred the entity and the entity inhabited it, the entity left the guy alive and immortal to thank him for freeing it.

I could see it in the sense that his black form is a shade, tied to the original Nefertari body which has died/aged heavily.

So he needs Vivi for a fresh new host that will allow him to be at full power. Plus with Law's immortality surgery he could avoid the host body dying again.

When did Shanks ever fight dirty though, he went 1vs1 against Kidd and thats the only time we saw him fight on screen. Oh and he clashed with WB 1vs1 on WBs ship.
