I don’t think anyone actually wants powercliffing though
Like the idea that by the end of the series we find out that FA Akainu can stomp Kaido just makes a lot of things look goofy
Or that Shanks (with feats) could potentially wifi haki Big Mom or something. Stuff like that is cool on paper but it makes a lot of beloved characters look worse in the long run
Personally I feel like Oda is trying to dig himself out of this hole by showing that the GV fighters hadn’t reached their peaks yet so it at least makes a little more sense
I dont personally care about powerscaling, im just offering perspectives on what happens when you essentially only have 2 outcomes to an event that happened.
Imo making Loki extremely broken is "fine", but it depends on how the rest of this arc goes. If its fighting ImuGunko (which wont resolve Imu anyway), then its okay because Imu is the series endgame.
If its Luffy fighting a Domi Reversi'ed Loki or something, and then he wins......you see the problem right? How does anyone else outside of Imu have a chance against Luffy? If Shamrock comes back and his confidence against Loki is validated....also a problem if Luffy fights him.
Thats IF Shanks doesnt defeat Loki. If he does, then the above isnt a problem at all, because even if you dislike Akainu, Blackbeard or Shamrock being scaled up to unreasonable levels (already something people bitch about Shanks about) at least they pose threats to Luffy reliably.
