Communism is a type of socialism. All communist are socialist but not all socialist are communist. Social democracy or democratic socialism are still types of socialism. Socialist can agree with some aspects of socialism and try to implement those. A socialist can be for either government, worker, or community owned production and disagree with the rest. A socialist can believe in merging in capitalism and either stay that way, or transition to a socialist society. Or a socialist can join the cool club and burn everything to the ground to create a dictatorship.
Explain why someone should grind through multivariable calculus, diff eqs, linear algebra, EM fields, control theory, thermodynamics, fluids, materials, and signal processing when they could skip all of that and make the same money cleaning trash. What’s the incentive?
Sorry but you’re not convincing any human being with this. Might as well ask the world to abolish military and ban prisons and just hope everyone is nice and holding hands with each other. The world is not gonna spend 4+ years of their lives just to get something they can get in no time or training. This requires your society to be unfair to the ones working harder yet getting the same and requiring everything to be rainbows and sunshines.

And there are different variations of socialism, like how there are different forms and interpretations of Marxism. Also different variations of liberalism for exampe. I do believe acknowledging these factual differentiations are quite important. Or you one of those shameful anti-intellectuals? Do you think Mars is real?

We are the product of systems. "Being nice" can be such product.

Through the syndicalization and mutualization of society. The complete and mindfull unionization in business, with constant socialist political reforms and a constant revolutionary push. At the end, we might have to fight a little against the most angry capitalists, but not to the point of a radical revolution like some communism are dreaming of.
I believe in the positive organization of society from the bottom up rather that the big night. I'm not saying a big night is not necessary, but we are absolutely not ready for it just yet. It would be like stopping a wave with thousands of shovels against stopping it with a big and strong dig.
I'm still revolutionary. But I consider that a real and stable revolution is a work of patience rather than a big flash.

Fair play. This way, you can cope with the "real socialism was never implemented" till the end of time any time a new socialist regime falls because a child's fantasyland is more likely to be true than this wish. You're not grounded in reality at all.

I can't recall how many time I wished I was still a naive 14 yo that didn't know anything about our world. When you see the horrors of capitalism and imperialism, when you know how to fix them, but you don't have any power to do so. It destroys your soul.

So gradual transition into a socialist society by uniting the people over time? In the US, half the country happily worship Trump and believe all issues are caused by minorities. They support a guy that said that educated people hate him, and that he loves the uneducated because they are easier to convince, which is why is he ran republican. How would you get them to disagree with his rhetoric and deal with division?
