Most of the news are not focused on messi leaving eitherway because of coronavirus and other stuff takes headlines in our country.
To be fair i feel international fan worships him more than native barcelona fans nobody here likes messi now like the popularity he shared 3 years ago.Most are okay with him leaving.
Privileges in the sense his matter of involvement of future squad selection basically koeman openly said to messi he will lose those powers.

Bartomeu has done everything messi wanted , i think their in fighting started when neymar left to psg. From appointing manager to selection of players i guess.

Tje contract has till june 10 unfortunately messi will have to take barca to court.
No barca has clause he could leave before june 10 .

Why not just appoint messi as president ?
Problem with fans are they think they are always right and their hero can do no wrong.
Even if barto leaves barca problem doesnt end there its not like he is dr evil who manipulates players and backstab.
He takes approval from captain and board member to decide if plauer will join barcelona.
Barca needs to look into ffp , account balance and budget for youth team. Blaming squarely on one guy is bad in general.
Even if the new guy comes in , we should purge all existing people out .
Player like messi will never be satisified its like candy or lolipopyou need to feed them to manage their ego.

Appointing Abidal was a mistake.
Overall i would say players and managment have toxic relation. It happened in real madrid as well when iker tried to control things , back then even i had judgement against perez but i feel he made right decision to purge our captain . Iker holds highest respect in spain so you can think about it when he lost his position.
