A villain shoe horned in like Kaguya would be trash @park_min young Oda is slowly building up Imu and he said we are in the final stages of the manga. If he pulls a Kaguya and pulls another final villain out of his ass right before the end it would be so damn bad. Its either BB or Imu atp.

I agree lol. Imu is actually responsible for 800 years of suffering and corruption across the globe. For now, defeating him is thematically the most satisfying. I can’t imagine another third party villain having the same impact. Blackbeard has buildup and ties with another ancient being, Davy Jones. So, he’s the only real candidate alongside Imu.

Ayup, this manga is about inherited will.

Imu inherited the will and power of the Earth God who had humanity enslaved ( The Devil), JB and now Luffy inheritted the wills and power of the liberator of Humanity (Nika). And Davy Jones was likely the King of the ancient Kingdom who was oppressing the other 20 Kingdoms.

This is where Im at.

And since Imu would be the incarnation of the Earth God then its not just 800 years of oppression and domination but quite possibly millenias during the Earth Gods rule.

IMO it kills the BB stocks. The whole theory was BB would steal Imus powers and use them to boost his weak crew.

Blackbeard would never weaken himself for his crew like it would take to boost them all with Imus abilities.
