One would think the meaning of "but" was quite simple and easy to get, especially when a phrase use "now" to make clear that before he couldn't have "but now" he can.

Gunkos case is literally the exact same. There’s a reason oda showcases Gunko doing this exact thing prior to the flashback so we see that it’s possible and not just a plot convenience

Alright so something no one is talking about. Imu’s words here really make it seem like Imu himself is a victim of history and is powerless to change the tides of history.

^Imu is saying that he wanted to integrate the giants into the WG, but it is not possible and outside of his control.

This once again reinforces that Imu is not the final villain, Imu himself is just a victim of history in his own way which is exactly what I predicted. There is some far greater evil that exists that the WG is burying, there is something greater happening outside of Imu’s control.

The final villain of this manga will be an all encompassing source of evil, not some victim of history who thought he could integrate the giants only to realize they are powerless to history lol.

He snapped him back into his senses in the first place with all that accumulated damage. Loki actually showed restraint by going back to base btw. We have no evidence that an amped Harald can even go toe-to-toe with a transformed Loki. Just imagine what he would do to a base Harald who can’t regenerate lol. After eating the df, Loki clearly scales above base Harald.

And base Harald was Xebec's level on his own, and Xebec was much stronger than a BM just to say one*.

* A super common take for everybody that I suppose now won't be anymore lol.
I expect to see BM>Xebec, a take that would have brought laughter everywhere, becoming common now. All because if not one would have to say Loki >> BM.

Yeah, Loki as the forest god seems to work, since it seems to actually be some mythical creature, and he loves/gets along with animals. The remaining two would probably be Teach and Imu. Maybe with Imu originally being the sea god, while he usurped the earth god (Davy Jones) and took his position, then sent him underwater as punishment.
