Oda has pretty clearly telegraphed Sanji and Zoro will fight Sommers and Killingham.

They will awaken/gain control of CoC against less comp while Luffy and Loki face Imu and his DR giants.

Sanji will likely drop off Gaban and take off. It's likely he stops Sommers shortly after he puts himself back together and tries to harm the crew he's captured.

That’s not necessarily true. A lot of time it’s just so Oda can let the plot progress. It’s like Zoro getting lost, if Oda has them fight too early the plot goes to fast (for Odas tastes) so he creates these reasons to keep Zoro and Sanji busy so Oda can move the other pieces in position and then only let Zoro and Sanji fight when we’re actually at the climax

As of right now I think Sommers is more probable. Even tho Dori/Brogi feels kinda good too.

I thought of Zoro/Sanji vs Dori/Brogi years ago so I really wish to happen. It's hard to guess what the real matchup will be but as I said, now I think Sommers fight is more likely to happen, just as the story is going. Happy to be wrong.

It's entirely possible since Sanji is nerfed before his main battle more often than not.

At the same time, Sommers' DF is already designed to fuck him up.

Yeah but that is not true here either by the fact i mentioned. Nothing changes if Sanji arrives somewhere first or to a situation. The situation to fix is to get rid of the HK and turn back the DR giant. And both things work the same way/the solution is the same. Like there is no reason for hold sanji back or nerf him like always cause the solution is the same and sanji is incapale of doing it currently

Who stops Dorry and Brogy then? Loki and Luffy will be occupied with Imunko and I doubt Hajrudin or whoever can handle those two.
Also, I really can't see Zoro fighting Killingham, and Zoro and Sanji usually fight characters from the same faction.

Im not saying its impossible, just seems unnecessary in this situation. Like you said summers is already designed to trick/fuck sanji up and also all the opponent have infinite regen, so like if oda wants sanji to get fucked up there is no reason to do it in convuluted way any opponent with the abyss can get git infinite times by sanji and just counter attack

It depends if Oda actually plans for the other SHP to do something this arc. Because once Zoro and Sanji actually start doing things it’s a good indicator that the other straw hats are done being important. And I feel like we’re just not at that point yet

Thats the usual arc structure, but like you said thats a big if if they are gonna do anything or just be fodder like ph or some of them in wano, i guess we will see

Responded to Raiden in the spoiler thread on this topic but reckon Sanji is going to be delegated with saving the kids and then we see him flex PoL against Sommers thorns to save the kids which could potentially prompt somebody maybe Gaban to give us a bit more insight on that ability.

As far as how Sommers will be handled, I reckon he either gets one-tapped by Sanji or someone else as is usually the case with the Holy bums.

Struggling against an opponent than win it's the most satisfying way. Plus it will be the first time that Sanji goes against an "immortal" opponent and all these L that Sommers took really made a lot of people underestimate his power.
