What are y'alls expectations for Sanji going into the next few chapters?
I think he defo clashes with Sommers and will utlimately be responsible for saving robin and the children from his thorns.
Valentine's Day being next week could also mean we might get some PoL focus but my expectations are muted with that coz you never know with Oda. I know @Doggo is expecting Domi Reversi Sanji but what do y'all think? Also on the question of Sanji's CoC if he does awaken it, what do you think will be the trigger or rather how do you envision him doing it? ^^

With regards to the Mumas they are pretty much immortal iirc (please correct me if I'm wrong) and there's no real way to stop them except immobilizing them kinda like how Loki did by freezing them stiff or maybe taking out Kiringham. So maybe we get a bit of interesting Sanji v Muma action in the sense that he's actually able to destroy them with PoL to effectively reduce their numbers.
Also on Sanji's matchup, I personally don't think Sanji is going to be going toe to toe with Sommers but I think some sort of interaction btw the two is unavoidable tbh. His ability is a good way to hype up PoL and potentially give us some exposition on it. Not so sure about Sanji v Broggy atm given all Sanji's going to have to sort out before he can get back to where they are at but I guess Oda could potentially take those two out of the equation by having them fight each other for the time being ^^

Sanji fans expecting something on Valentine's Day is kinda similar to Zoro fans that expect something for him whenever the chapter numbers have 11 somewhere in it
Oda does very clearly write certain things with the chapter number or time of the year in mind (Luffy getting to the roof and facing off against Kaido and Big Mom in chapter 1000 was the most obvious stall job of all time) but he really doesn't do it that often
I know a lot of Sanji fans are against it but literally every single chapter further and further confirms the Sanji vs Sommers matchup. He is an exact replica of almost every single major Sanji opponent and also has the love theme
Some people are against it because they view him as a clown (he's the "jobber" amongst the Holy Knights so they're technically not wrong) but he's clearly Sanji's matchup. It feels like a lot of us are denying the obvious at this point
As for Sanji awakening CoC the trigger will almost 100% have something to do with him protecting or saving a woman. Oda tries to tie major power ups to someone's character and I think it would make the most sense if he awakened it in that way. I know some people would claim that it would be incredibly underwhelming if that's how he obtained it but at least to me it makes the most sense for Sanji's character
The chivalrous knight (quite literally with his outfit in Elbaf) tapping into his latent conqueror's haki in order to save a damsel would be very fitting

Honestly I don't think Dorry/Broggy are going to be Zoro and Sanji's final matchups this arc, I think chances are that it's going to be the Gorosei. Regardless though strong points in favor for Zoro/Sanji v Dorry/Broggy for me are:
1. The King's of Elbaf narrative the two have going them in addition to the emphasis being put on CoC this arc and the two wings announcing themselves to the world as Conquerors.
2. Dorry and Broggy getting bounties prior to this arc. I don't really get the sense in Oda revealing their bounties otherwise.
3. The similarities btw the Dorry/Broggy rivalry and Sanji/Zoro's

Haha fair enuff, can't help but feel that development would be a bit too forced though given Sanji does this very ting every single arc and has not awakened CoC till now. There also isn't any real depth to Sanji/Gerd yet so there's that as well.

His next PU will defo be Maou hence why I think he unlocks it with the PU but I guess Sanji could always awaken CoC first and then incoporate it into his fire abilities :p
I'm not a shipper by any means but I do think Sanji x Nami the the direction Oda is going to go.
Way Sanji treats Nami is unique even in comparison to other women but I digress ^^
On the topic of Gerd though, I think Loki x Gerd could potentially be on the cards, something about their interactions gives me that vibe but I I'm game for Sanji x Gerd too lol

Like I said though, don't really expect much just think it'd be very like Oda to do something like that.

They've been treated like fodder in every matchup we've seen from them so far save Gunko who has now been possessed by Imu.
They might have been strong opponents for the two on Wano but those two need to be hitting greater heights than Kiringham and Sommers this arc. That said, I do expect some interection btw Sanji and Sommers but expect Sanji to make quick work of him if I'm being honest but we'll see I guess.

No idea how it's gonna happen, but if we're talking about how we want it to happen, it should be by overcoming his evil self right when he's about to hit a woman. Imo he doesn't have to be DRed in a classic way, Imu could sense his dormant Germa genes and simply awaken them, in addition to mind controlling him. So no wings or horns or anything like that, just black hair, a cold heart and invisibility.
Sanji tries to resist DR
Fb of Gaban telling him he's emotionally conflicted and scared of himself
Black hair Sanji appears
He sends Zoro flying by unexpectedly using his hands in combat + invisibility
Imu orders him to kill Nami
The "good" Sanji within him stops him
Maybe an imaginary convo with Zeff telling him to man up and conquer his fear
Sanji is blonde again after breaking free from Imu's control
He gets black flames by combining IJ with CoC

I don’t think D and B are final matchups but I think they’re good training matchups. I don’t think this arc is near done because every chapter Gunko just seems like a worst and worst option for a Luffy villain.
I think D and B will be good training for Zoro and Sanji for fighting immortals before having to fight immortals with CoC (like gorosei) which is apparently a different beast altogether
The thing is the Holy Knights now have to completely change their plan so it’s hard to decide what Sanji will do cause everything’s about to shift since they can’t kidnap kids anymore

I have no idea anymore. Everything seems to point to Sanji vs Sommers and Zoro vs Kilingham, but that would leave all the strawhats wandering idly around Elbaf for the entire thing.
Here is the only way I can see everyone getting something to do:
- DR Sanji vs Zoro (or vice versa)
- Brook vs Imu/Gunko
- Luffy vs DR Loki
- DR Dorry vs DR Brogy for as long as the other fights last and Usopp saves them
- Everyone else holds off Sommers, Killingham, and the rest of the fodders (or saves the library) until Sanji and Zoro are free to finish them off
