Thoughts on this guys take on the Sanjii vs Queen fight and Sanjii unlocking the Exoskeleton?
I agree.
I always said that the route Oda went with Sanji and the whole Germa thing was nonsensical.
Like he said in the video, Sanji was human, that's why Sora died, that's the whole reason he was hated by his family and was called weak - and instead of overcoming them with his own strenght, by being a Human, he just out of nowhere ends up enhanced like them. Basicaly proving his Father right. The conclusion of this backstory is retarded.

Sora died to preserve Sanjis heart. She wasn’t against the exoskeleton enhancement as we saw with Reiju, what she hated was Judges attempt to steal their emotions. Sanji was called a failure because he had compassion.

And Sanjis greatest strength he’s unlocked since Wano, which has been the power of love allowing him to defy all logic and science, proves Sora right every time it appears. The conclusion makes sense

It doesnt. Judges powers are what made him strong.

I like the Germa plotline. Judge's obsessive gamble, Sora's sacrifice, the Germa comic strip, Sanji's resolve to be human. Sanji hasn't really accepted his lineage yet but he will when the time comes. Judge is a version of Sanji that made all possible mistakes, as shown in the SBS with Sanji's appearance 40 years later. He was not born a monster.

The exoskeleton and IJ are awful power ups though. Don't get me wrong, they make perfect sense, especially as a middle step. However, the exoskeleton is basically a CoA boost in disguise and IJ is no different from DJ in the great scheme of things. Going through all that in WCI and Wano to gain something so insignificant feels like a very poor decision by CL³⁰oda.

IJ is what one would expect as the result of the TS training: better DJ -> hotter flames -> IJ. Sanji's G4.
Everyone gets stronger CoA so the exoskeleton is clearly redundant here.

Contrary to the impression that may emerge from the rest of the message, I must say I'm extremely optimistic about this plotline, even on the power-ups side of it. Everything is in place for a great and memorable climax. Not really a fan of storylines of hundreds of chapters with barely any payoff in the middle though :josad:

Sci fi shit in OP just sucks in general Imo, it doesn´t fit the story. And Sanji´s powerup in Wano was just dumb, the only reason it isn´t really talked about is because Luffy´s was even worse. Queen vs Sanji could have been a great fight, but it was turned into Queen just being a retard, until Sanji got saved by an asspull related to his family.

Ikr the magic stuff(Devil fruits) is better

Sanji was called a failure because he had compassion.
That's simply not true.
Sanji wasn't able to keep up with his brothers and because he was not showing the same progress as his brothers, he was deemed a failure. Reiju had emotions, but had the same abilities as her brothers, she was not called a failure.
Even with emotions Sanji would have been usefull to Judge, if he would be able to keep up with his siblings.
In WCI Judge saw that Sanji was not lacking in stats, except his Iron Skin and his emotions. Judge even mentioned how his skin is no armor, besides him having emotions, when he was talking to Luffy. No word of him lacking in super strenght or anything like that, because he saw that Sanji has it even above his siblings.

This is straight up untrue though, no?

When they’re escaping from WCI Judge says one thing about his strength and then critiques him because of his personality which is tied to his emotions. You know, the thing that Sora died to protect?

I don’t know how you can read a panel like this and say “Sanji not being modified is the reason Judge considered him a failure”

Reiju isn’t emotionless but she was different from Sanji since she was willing to fall in line and act like her brothers while Sanji stayed true to himself. He enjoyed cooking, he enjoyed serving people which is unbecoming of royalty (to Judge anyway), even when he was locked up he intended on growing as a chef, and as a child he was incredibly kind

Was Sanji’s weakness compared to his siblings as a child part of the reason he was considered a failure? Sure, but it was far from the only reason. He’d be called a failure by Judge regardless.

Why? Because he’d never go along with Judge’s goal of conquering the North Blue nor would he kill people for whichever kingdom is willing to pay. Sanji’s emotions and strength of will stop him from being Judge’s ideal soldier (an enhanced human who’s willing to take lives without remorse)

This part is absolutely mindboggling to me. Sanji being a normal human is not the whole reason he's called weak. Oda couldn't have possibly made it more obvious than this

Again, one thing pertaining to his lack of physical enhancement and the rest of his speech is related to Sanji's emotions. If Sanji was enhanced but remained the same person do you truly believe Judge would view him as a success?

Edit: And honestly I'm surprised a fan of Sanji would take that away from the whole situation. I mean when you look at the flashback of Sora she always emphasized the children retaining their emotions was the important thing. She never said anything about the genetic modifications themselves

Judge’s rant on Sanji:
Sanji is Germa’s failure…
His skin is no shield
He works as a cook and has no pride in his royal blood
He’s easily moved by worthless emotion, and puts his life on the line for the weak as such has he’s weak minded
He’s a complete failure as a soldier. Utterly worthless!
That is who he is!

Where is "Sanji is weak" here? :whitepress:
Did we forget Sanji absolutely ripping Yonji a new one on WCI?
Or Ichiji leveraging hostages against Sanji to prevent him from packing up Niji (with these fools ganging up on someone who couldn't hit back)
Or Sanji going toe to toe with Judge and probably packing him up as well but for Judge using one of the Germa Soldiers as a meat shield to throw Sanji off in his fight against him?

What this nonsense about Sanji requring his germa awakening to prove his strength against the Vinsmokes?
Do you think better aramment would've changed anything againt Niji with his bum brothers levergaing hostages againnst him?
or do you think better aramament would've suddenly made Sanji not drop his guard against Judge when he quite literally used his own soldier as a meat shield to gain an advantage against Sanji?

What is so strong about what these lunatics were doing?

Let's not forget that the very tings about Sanji that Judge is dissing and waffling about was the very reason his dumbass got saved from Linlin on WCI. His life, ambitions, empire would've all ended on WCI but for Sanji saving his bum ass.

It's okay to say that you wanted Sanji to be developed in a certain way, "strong martial artist, haki extrodinare" and that you don't like the gene awakeining route but let's not blur the lines to fit our narrative.

Anyways, on the whole Germa ting, Sanji has never been normal. Even prior to his full awakening, he had an abnormal resistance to flame and could quite literally combust into and weild flames like the Lunarians (i..e Queen quite literally told us as much on Wano)

On the Sora ting, she was never against Sanji becoming superhuman but rather his emotions being taken away from him, which ended up being preserved with Sanji's full awakening and seems to be the very source of Sanji's next development phase via PoL.

Whole Gema ordeal emphasizes all of the things that make Sanji such a great character (kindness, selflessness, resourcefulness etc.), and makes Sanji's development route very unique and also gives him a lot of potential with regards to strength development going forward, which I and some others have already discussed exhaustively on here already.

People misunserstand what Sora hated and what she was trying to protect

Sanji literally bodied Yonji and it came to Judge's ears, he said "He is quite strong, you know.." then Sanji says "Then i guess im better.."

He knows Sanji has grew strength, he is Just coping that his kids are superior and one of the main reasons is that Sanji still cares for people and shit. Judge despises that and so do his kids
