Thoughts on previous user of Nidhoggr Fruit John Elbaph having a sword (maybe a black blade) but using Ragnir instead ?

The Nika from the flashback was probably a fruit too, just like Nidhogg. Was he a swordsman? Probably not. We know Nika is a reality warper. One time he will use lightning as a weapon, one time a bat carved out of wood and painted, one time an axe, and when it thematically fits (Elbaf), he will use sword an shield. Just like we saw that ancient giant wielding both Ragnir and a sword, Nika would probably also shift weapons as he sees fit.

Zoro isn't as relevant as the Sun God. Luffy (Nika), Blackbeard (Davy Jones), Imu (Devil) and Loki (Nidhogg) are like the four relevant god tiers probably. In terms of lore, Zoro ain't him.

This is why Elbaf isn't really a great arc, Oda is establishing that only a few characters will really matter, and giving lore reasons for it lol. Kind of lame Imo. Why not leave it at least a little ambigious?

This is Gaban’s first time seeing Loki’s df, and he was still so afraid of freeing Loki based on just the Harald feat and Jarul’s story about Nidhogg. There’s absolutely no way that Shanks ever beat Loki. Gaban would have known about the extent of Loki’s powers if the 1v1 really happened. Shanks would have told Gaban about how it went down. Gaban remembered Jarul’s story instead.

It's mostly just Luffy fanboys yeah, also some Zoro/Sanji fanboys. It's been pretty clear since the start of the arc that Loki is at worst, around Luffy's level. That's the absolute lowest he could be at.
