Agree with an asterisk. I believe Harald was strong enough. Issue was that he refused to listen to Xebec and he lacked an older mentor/idol. Loki saw all his fathers faults and looked up to Xebec, he refuses to bow down to the WGs tyranny.

I take it that this means Loki is probably the reincarnation of the god of Elbaf (the way Luffy is probably a reincarnation of Roger, Joyboy or Nika, and Zoro a reincarnation of Ryuma) and is meant to be as strong as he was.

Incorrect, if Ragnir chose off of kingship and reincarnation then ragnir would not have attacked Loki first.

Ragnir was happy there was someone strong enough like his last master,it’s quite literally stated more than once that Ragnir only chooses the strong i mean jarul literally said the reason why it was so feared was because of ragnir guarding it.
