Speculations Could Xebec be the man with the burn scar ?

Xebec was created and introduced in the manga at the beginning of Wano
We heard about the man with the burn scar at the end of Wano and the middle of Egghead
Now at Elbaf we learn everything about Xebec, and apparently the man with the burn scar is supposed to appear this year according to the Jump Festa message

Don’t you think it gives the impression that the two characters were created at the same time, and that the manga was just waiting for us to know everything about Xebec’s life before finally introducing the man with the burn scar ?

Extremely unlikely Since Oda never actually shows him getting burned if Xebec was that man Oda would of shown him surrounded by flames, getting burned or something to hint towards it last we saw when he was killed by Garling he didn't have any burns

It would be kind of odd for Xebec to maintain such a small presence for the last.... 39 years. You'd think even if he got weaker over the years, he would at least try to partner with someone, with him being pretty much connected to all major pirates in the manga, including his own son.

Anyway, flashback deaths are still generally to be taken seriously, even if Oda is kind of undoing that with Saul and maybe some others.

To be fair in sauls case we should of figured he was still alive, we've never actually seen anyone die from getting frozen by Aokiji and we saw people get frozen before and after Saul did

So I checked, and in the last chapters before Rocks’ death, God Valley does start to catch fire
It’s just subtle enough and in the background enough that you don’t notice it
Even when it rains after Rocks is defeated, the fire keeps burning
There’s a cut before Garling kills Rocks, and the island ends up collapsing in on itself

Either he managed to survive after the island collapsed on itself, ending up with a large burn scar, Because he fell into the water at the same time as the island

or Garling took her back to Mary Geoise and he was imprisoned, Still with a burn scar from the fire caused by the island’s destruction

Well, it's not impossible Oda would do this, given the fact that he did something similar with Oden's dad, I don't think it would be particularly good for the story, nor really make sense. I know people didn't really like how Rocks died(and I don't like DR either), but it does set the tone for the entire pirate era afterwards, just the brutality of it, helps builds up like half the relevant cast who either looked up to(Loki/Teach) worked under(WB, BM,Kaido, Shiki) or just generally respected(Roger, Garp) Rocks. It would kind of ruin that if he was still alive.

Well, it's not impossible Oda would do this, given the fact that he did something similar with Oden's dad, I don't think it would be particularly good for the story, nor really make sense. In itself, his death only happened about ten chapters ago, it’s very recent, so seeing him return so soon wouldn’t be shocking, given that he first appeared last summer.

Maybe it's a former Devoted Blade of God or possibly even a Knight of God who burned their Covenant mark on their arm. The latter is a bit unlikely, since the Knights of God gain immortal bodies, but there might be a panel hinting at it. The whirlpool DF could have been a gift for joining the ranks. As for the black sails, I believe we have only seen World Government and Marine ships use white sails, so maybe the black sails are a sign of rebellion.

It is highly unprobeable that Xebec could be the one we we shown in the manga him being killed by the holly knights, of course a very very small chances of him surviving is possible maybe as an side effect of Im's powers. But again I don't think they would have left his body there if that was the case.

The man with the burn scar must have been to the island to give info on it's position or he knows where the last glyph is.

So it could be either an old member of the Joy boy crew or Davy Jones, cursed in some way by Im to search the sea for it but it still doesn't make much sense because if that was the case the gov would had have it till now. An other possibility is a Roger pirate since we have seen that at Roger vs Shikki there was a giant vortex

I'm positive Xebec may still be alive, either the burn scar man or eye patch/lurking legend.
But the flashback kinda make it clear Xebec was just another fallen legend whose will was pass on to current main era with BB, Loki etc

Burn scar man would be someone very special we do not know much about or meet him yet i suppose.

Fair enough, though I feel like you're caught up in the idea that the man marked by flames is a character we would know. The fact that they seem to keep to themselves implies so,at least. And we did just have an intro for an old pirate character in Gaban, who was a character introduced way back when.

I agree with Shaster, Oda didn't tell us the guy was affiliated with the government for no reason, though it's probably not currently true. I see the man marked by flames as a Rogue Gods Steel as well, who could offer internal secrets to the cast, and sort of be generally morally grey.

It has to be a character we already know, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to hide them.
The theory about Gaban seems dead since his appearance in Elbaf.
And why not a former member of the Government, It’s likely
