@Roo Since you mentioned Gulf countries attacking Iran: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ge-allies-to-help-trump-find-off-ramp-on-iran

They are looking to end the war diplomatically.
These states never were military powers, and never will be. The article also cites that they may run out of interceptors in a short time span at this rate (4 day for Qatar and a week at most for the UAE). Striking at the oil/LNG facilities made them realize how dire their situation is, I doubt they'll escalate.

At the end of the day Saudi Arabia is the big one you have to convince, and despite all the public hurrah they definitely want to keep Iran in the backfoot

but I did read the IRGC is looking to de escalate as well so who’ll see

edit: looks like diplomatic end or more military support is on the table https://x.com/faytuksnetwork/status/2028534840153260262?s=46

From the Yemeni Tanukhian stuff side mostly, we are actually the only Arabs left who still venerate Umru Al Qais and Ibn Ala'a Al Ma'ari Seculary

But I said Arabian, not Arab
How so ? Qais is one of the most famous poets, maybe surpassed by a countable few like Mutanabi.

Ma'ari was never popular since he is an atheist and antinatalist. I do feel bad for him since he was blind, but I would never agree with his ideas. Or most of his people.

Al-Hakim was an Arab, a seyyid as well.
You could have also mentioned Shuaib PBUH Miqdad/Ammar/Abu Dhar PBUH and even Fatima herself (RA), and several Early Sufi Sages that we venerate and are studied by our Shiekhs

That doesn't really change my point about Gulf Arabs , especially their modern arrogance in spite of their irrelevance since the Syrian half Christian Muawiya

I don't see him mentioned that often by other arabs, when they should be pushing him as someone who should be up there with Shakespeare

it might be too soon to call their situation dire
I really doubt Iran as such who had years to prepare for such a scenario is in an dire situation after a weekend.
Becoming predictable already would really suprise me .

Kinda reminds me about the talks when Russia went to war with Ukraine ,and sources of all media where saying after months russia will run out of resources.
Yeah 4 years later it‘s still going

No appreciation for Constantinople? Smh

Yes, but I mentioned Al-Hakim since -afaik- he is the most revered in your theology.

You mean Yazid right? Since both Muawiya's mothers were muslim women.

I don't see him mentioned that often by other arabs, when they should be pushing him as someone who should be up there with Shakespeare
He is mentioned quite often I think, as he is part of the Muallaqat poets. Though I feel we don't give enough care for poetry or literature in general.
