I genuinely enjoyed Jinbe's fight with Who's Who. The dialogue was even good. But he did nothing remotely interesting in Egghead and is off to an awful start in Elbaph. If the Straw Hats vs. DR Loki matchup actually pans out, he should be the biggest player outside of the M3 there, but otherwise, I'm not sure what he's going to do besides play support duty with the fires again.

Yes
This applies to all Strawhats btw. Every SH was a good character before they joined this clownhat crew
How the hell was Usopp cool before joining Luffy?

Yep, it's not just me!

Although.... Chopper is about the same I suppose.
Franky and Robin were definitely cooler.
Zoro still gets to shine, so I'm like 50/50 on him.
Sanji - on one hand yes, on another one no, because a lot of his PU and cool moments were possible only b/c he sailed with SHP. I don't think he'd have his DJ and Mr.Prince staying on Baratie. Also, he'd just die as Judge's pawn. BUT his overall treatment during TS and post-TS is sometimes so bad I wish he didn't join, so again, 50/50.
Brook was definitely cooler w/o SHP, and his TS career is the coolest. Soul King! Damn he's a rockstar. Should've ditched SHP and continued his world tour.
Nami....hmmm. I like that she got free of Arlong, she'd probably have a nice life with Nojiko and orange garden. But her dream would make her set sail anyways, so it's yet another 50/50. She could have it much worse in another crew.

Becoming a Straw Hat always seems like an elevation in terms of relevance to the story, but post-Wano he's just there. Like Oda just needed to wrap things up with him joining to have a new strong member but not consistently give him stuff to work with. I like Jimbei and think he was amazing in the Summit War saga, but there's a lot to be left desired from him the last few arcs.
