Personally i dont see the Gorosei, not after last arcs showcase. Itd be too much of beating the same horse and retreading

I do however, hope Shamrock comes back with 2-3 more Knights. I just think that route is so much more interesting that booting him and having Imu remote control someone (and currently dehyping him in the process).

Problem is the holy knights just have no hype. Oda made sure to specify shamrock as a special case. The rest may very well be weaker than Sommers…

There is "some" promise. At first it looked like he can conjure up whatever he wants similar to Luffy. He pulls up a book that summons a Gun. It seems cool on paper and he sort of feels like Luffy in the opposite sense.

The problem with this is I cant see Oda showing off Imu "too" much, because this isnt really him or his true power since hes not here.

The guys been a shadow man for 300 fucking chapters, imagine getting a fight with him and we still dont even know what he looks like...

Well, the good thing Is that Akainu and BB are already very well known. So Imu can show something.

Well, I didn't think the reason Broggy and dorry get released would be so nonsensical, but I never thought they would be serious opponents for anyone. I've always thought the fights would be with the GK. Sommers is implied to have survived because he talked iirc, and the other 2 are fine.

One Piece arcs dont end without some level of payoff. If Imu just gives up and leaves that virtually does nothing for the resolution of this arc on any level whatsoever.

Right, either Imu is forced out of Elbaf, or the SHP end up losing here. They'll be forced to contend with Imu, who has been the most important/biggest presence the entire arc. Not the Gorosei or Shamrock lol, this even extents to the 20 chapter flashback. Also, since they committed crimes against children, Sommers and Killingham might die.

I dont agree that the Knights "need" to be saved for endgame. We already know that they are easily replaceable like the Gorosei.

If Oda uses Elbaph to take out a certain number of Knights, he can just replace them all again for the endgame like he did Saturn.

Well, Oda introduced Garling mid way through Elbaf to replace Saturn. What would be the point of introducing some random Tennrybuto and have them take some GK's position in the final war after they lose lol? It would just be weird and reduntant. There's like, 9 GK or so, and we'll lose about three of them here, and there will be 6 left for final war fights.(I don't remember the actual number but something like that was mentioned)

The GK are the real deal here. DR is just a weird filler power Oda dropped this chapter... for whatever reason.

The thing is with powers like Regen you can't make the user to powerful or else it will feel like how can we win like imagine if Kaido had regen there'd be absolutely no way to beat him without the biggest ass pull in history

So majority of the holy knights will likely be relatively weak and mainly rely on gimmicky powers and regen

The problem of this chapter Isn't the DR being defeated: It's the super convenient regen post mortem (contrary to everything we have seen at GV) and It's D&B resisting the DR.
