Yea but in that same page it was stated regardless of who eats it (aka base size) it was going to be the largest dragon.

Just look at the scale of the dragon df eaten by a human vs a giant. It still dwarfs the giant, now compared that to the difference between Giant Luffy and Kaido.

The base dragon is just always going to be bigger

Dragon Kaido is bigger but not by huge margin. Even jack appears 1/3rd of the ancient giant number which is often used to compare with dragon Kaido. That number most likely is much smaller as jack is 8 meters.
