Kaido after all Zoro did, acknowledged that Luffy is the first one in a long time that can go toe to toe with him and make him enjoy a fight. Zoro scarred Kaido without knocking him off his feet or doing much harm ultimately, then was reduced to fighting a commander. In egghead he overwhelmed Lucci after a scuffle and had one clash with Nusjuro. But he lacks a dedicated 1 on 1 with a top tier that ends at least in a stalemate, if not winning. Loki's feats far outclass what Zoro has done so far.

Can you not understand the timeline of Kaidos development? Kaido thought of DF powers earlier but then as he got older he learned that haki is more important.
You guys must be real stupid if you think the MC and 2nd MC idols (Shanks and Mihawk) dont have DFs. JB haki is what got Imu twerking and Gorosei being sent back and GB being forced out of DF.

Zoros hardest opponent was pica he then jumped to kaido cut clashed and scarred him PRE POWER UP
Even blocking a duo yonko attack
Even last arc he one shot lucci and had an even haki clash with nasjuro.

tbh 1179 would be a really nice spot to show what everyone outside of Elbaf is doing, as the current villains of the arc have basically been defeated.

We could see Kid, Law, Marines, Revos, yonko, etc.

Then we could come back strong in Elbaf with Imu’s arrival.

I think Egghead similarly had a pause between SHs vs CP0 and Saturn/Kizaru’s arrival.

Kid is on Elbaph. There just needed to be a break in the action to reintroduce him
