Because whether it is Sanji or Zoro who defeats King, he will be YC1 level. And with Luffy fans supporting Sanji thus far, if it is Sanji, they will have to accept that Sanji is YC1 level, the level that was acquired by Luffy by beating Katakuri.

so far in the series zoro is the only one who was called right handman of luffy and vc of the strawhats by barto not official but close enough, we have seen countless times people question why he isn't the captain. i can't remember single scene sanji was mentioned in the same way. as for the yc1 both zoro and sanji will surpass all of them being the top fighters of the future pk
