I was about to make a post about Imu bleeding. Maybe he has some kind of timer about how long he can stay outside Marijoa for X reason. That's way the arc could end with Imu showing off without Elbaf getting conquered. Luffy and Loki would just have to survive long enough
You just said mental is an important to complete a mission, while we literally saw an nerfed Admiral complete a mission. Why Kizaru can and Fujitora/Ryo cannot?
You're dense at this point if you don't see it. Oda is aware of how this statement would look to casuals. 5 of us can go or we send 1 Admiral. An Admiral is held so highly by these guys that they don't even think of sending more than 1 for a situation with Nika and Loki, which requires Imu himself to intervene. The portrayal is pretty insane I have to say, even for Admiral bro standards.

The fact that Imu seems to not be able to stay outside of MJ for long hightens the likelyhood of him being saved for the final war. He will show off here but then be forced to go back. @Kurozumi Wiwi Kind of like Yvwach who couldnt stay outside of the Wandenreich for too long.
It's true, but having Imu restricted at Marijoa vastly diminishes his overall threat level. Also, Marijoa is the place both Xebec and Teach were/are targetting.
Before I was 100% on Imu being the FV. Now I can see both him and BB being true, depensing what Is going to happen.
(Also in this FB Oda introduced all the Davy Jones - Xebec - BB which links directly BB to Imu)
Yeah something like this would answer this kind of plot hole.
It'd also be good portrayal for Luffy and Loki to force Imu to come himself it being outside cause him pain
