@ZenZu with the confirmation that devil fruit awakenings > ACoC this chapter (Imu didn’t use haki on Zoro apparently) how powerful is hypothetical awakened Kizaru
Well unawakened depressed turf restricted Kizaru was above Kaidou slayer Goofy. We don't even need awakening, just release him from 1 of 2 factors. Keep him depressed but don't turf restrict him and he's already too strong, or keep him turf restricted but give him antidepressants and he still shoots up. Now you not only want him not turf restricted AND not depressed but ALSO awakened? My guy, leave some wow factor for the rest of the cast.

First, if Imu didnt dominate the strawhat it would be bad thing, as painfull as it may be. This needed to happen.

Imu in his shadow forms traited Roger, Xebec, Big Mom, Newgate, Kaido, Garp combined advCoC attacks as a nuisance at best.

That Zoro didnt outright die in the momentum of Imus overwelming counter only further prove Zoros strenght.

Imu is the strongest existence in thw World for 800 years, he is basically the six paths level of the one piece, he isnt even healthy.

The way six paths can no diff kage level opponents, Imu can no diff the so calmed Great power of the worlds. His power is outside of these concept.

This chapter demonstrated this power to Zoro which open Zoros eye to new perspective.

He now understand what they are up against and will aim to that kind of strenght.

Zoro will not only emerge greater than ever by harnessing this experience to achieve a masssive power up but his training will become even more brutal.

If he had become lax and arrogant after seeing the yonko he now know he still need to get stronger after seeing the Great IMU.

As for King of Hell title and the Joke surrounding it.

First, the spolier isnt even out yet. There are so much inconsistency. Its like they deliberately releasing some line at a time to cause confusion.

Starting from Zoro outright being destroyed by imu and the hint that made it look like Imu completely direspected Zoro with a finger.
To Imu using his tail (that negged sabo) to block Zoro then use Omen ( condensed black fire to deal a huge blow to Zoro)
To Imu First attacking the people under Zoros watch which triggered Zoros rage then followed by Zoros Koh attack and Imus brutal counter.

Like you can see, the more they reveal, the more perspective and context is added which make Zoros L not as massive as the First.

And I will also make something clear.

I have always thought Zoro is still too green to call himself the King of Hell. He need greater achievement.

He need greater achievement. So mocking him now is fine. He hadn't evn yet harnessed the full power of his conqueror haki let alone go deeper in his understanding of Asura.

And Imus attacks give him exactly that.

The brutal way Imu Thorn appart everything, Zoro will now aim to pocess that kind of strenght and even surpass it.
I think you are overestimating Imu and underestimating Zoro.
Dont buy into the initial hype wave...
