In the big picture, sure.

But why on Elbaf? It's not like Imu is going to lose here. This arc is about hyping him, not Luffy. And Loki's fight with Imu is what the entire arc has been built up too.

If I have to guess then it would be something more to G5 that we might see here. Haki could be in the mix but G5 is what I am betting on.

G5 is pretty limitless with its ability so this is very possible. He would still be weaker than Loki though, it's impossible for Luffy to be stronger than Loki without sustaining G5 for more than 5-10 minutes.

Oda has even saved Loki's hybrid form well after Luffy has been using G5, Gunkimo wasn't even worthy of Loki's hybrid.
