Well with this logic Kidd and Law mostly clashed with Big Mom 1v1 as well, they just took turns attacking. In One Piece you will often see attacks happening separately instead of at the same time in group fights. Imu's attention was spread out between multiple characters when Zoro attacked, which is why he was barely even looking at him.
