Nuclear hot take warning: As much as people (rightfully) make fun of Oda's deteriorating drawing abilities, Gege's drawing, especially during that fight, and some of the choices he made to skip certain events and paneling, was pure putrid asscheeks.

I get it from a hype perspective of reading the manga weekly, it was fun, but aint no way that shit is in top 5 of one of all shounen battles for me

Nah Naruto was pretty bad, I haven't forgotten. I'm just being objective, One Piece gives off lil bro energy. Naruto was running the streets, One Piece doesn't have any street cred at all, it's a manufactured product with manufactured hype. It shouldn't take your series 1000 chapters to finally be in the mainstream eye.

One Piece is like Roger. Whereas Naruto is Xebec, we already saw when both of them were alive at the same time who was running the show. It's easy to act tough when top 1 ain't around anymore.

• One Piece: 600m / 114 = ~5.26m per volume.
• Attack on Titan: 140m / 34 = ~4.12m per volume.
• Naruto: 250m / 72 = ~3.47m per volume.
• Detective Conan / Case Closed: 270m / 104 = ~2.60m per volume.

C) in Europe, OP was the biggest out of the big 3 in the 2000s in terms of anime, Naruto enjoyed some good years from the great games tho. Broken bonds, SUNS series, etc

D) Naruto has its highlights, but I suspect you are suffering from nostalgia, it was hated by it’s core community when it was ending, just like OP is hated by us now
