I’d say HxH is widely considered “untouchable” as well unlike most other animanga. One Piece is considered very good but the best? Idk

One Piece: Devil rules the world, WG-UN is a shitty organization, and mostly all world leaders are pieces of shit. Also your life and your family are much more important than a shitty government dog.

Tbh I feel like that applies to a lot of series nowadays. A lot of people I've seen discussing things in fandoms often seem very clueless even about basic things.

I once saw someone say that, when it comes to discussing fiction, a lot of people don't even fully interact with the thing they are talking about outside of Tiktoks, reels etc and that sounded very believable to me based on past experience.

Could definitely be a case of bandwagoning, like "this series is popular so I'll get vaguely into it".
