Kaido and Big Mom ain't coming back in current story. GV was probably the last time we see them in manga

Kaido is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, even if he comes back there's no reason why "powercreep" would put him above the likes of Nidhogg that were sought by Xebec and put in the same breath as Nika by Imu.
Crocodile is a different case because he fell really early storywise.

Also that could be the reason why Kaido never awakened now that I think about it, Oda wanted the actual protector of Wano to do it.
