Kinyagi is right, it’s absolutely ridiculous! Oda just wrote himself into another hole to try and explain why Imu wouldn’t have wiped out the Galley La giants who were apparently frozen by Ragnir.
All the talk about Haki is now pointless when a Haki-less hammer can freeze people and the strongest Haki user can’t undo it.
Someone already said it, but a Haki-less rat/hammer can freeze the likes of Kaido, Akainu, Whitebeard or Roger and they’d be shit out of luck.

You´re literally saying nothing. None of the prior Elbaf Kings(except one who is literally never known to have tried taming Ragnir, objectively) are known characters. There´s no in story arbitrary power level that Loki would need to show Ragnir beyond being stronger than him. The dynamic would not need to otherwise

Harald say that him getting possessed by Imu made him think he was a god. He not only got a power boost but his personality changed to make him believe that he had ascended to godhood

1. Loki being able to tame Ragnir
2. Loki can´t tame Ragnir, no one else can

This is why that context is important. In this case, Loki having Ragnir staggered, was enough to prove his superiority. It´s clearly meant to be significant, unless you literally believe that no other giant could injure Ragnir...which doesn´t really make sense, because as far as we know, he doesn´t have some insane,god like durability. If Oda drew an extended fight between Loki and Ragnir, Ragnir would obviously lose based on that interaction alone. The idea that Oda is only trying to show that Loki can ¨stagger¨ Ragnir is missing the point completely, you´re missing the forrest for the trees
