Questions & Mysteries Is Oda just Japanese George Lucas

Manga and movies are very different medias.

Star Wars and One Piece are amazing intellectual properties that achieved huge sucess worldwide and for many generations of fans.

Because they are long running and ongoing and they are not created alone, there is a lot to criticise on both.

Yoy should compare Oda to other mangakas.

His dedication to his work is insane

The prequels are irredeemable garbage that ruined Star Wars imo. They were so awful that basically everything Disney has done since purchasing Star Wars is attempted prequel rehabilitation.

The OP post TS started out decent but descended into Star Wars prequel levels of writing sometime around the Wano era.
Disney Star Wars is somehow even worse (Rise of Skywalker has a lower rotten tomatoes score than the phantom menace).

I think this might unironically be the single worst line of dialogue in the last 200 years of all human media

Pick your poison lol, if I had to choose between Disney Era Star Wars and the prequels, I’d pick the prequels but that doesn’t save the prequels, it just means I’d rather eat horse shit than donkey shit

“Somehow Palpatine returned” is one of the funniest movie lines ever to me. It’s a line that’s so bad it’s good. “He’s back, we don’t know how, fuck it we give up” LOL

The biggest difference between Disney Wars and Prequel Wars is the complete lack of original ideas in Disney Wars. There's nothing new.

There were always memorable new things in the Prequels. New races, new tanks, new creatures, new characters, new ships, new planets, new factions, new stories. The CIS still remain one of my favourite sci-fi factions to this day. Say what you will about the Prequels, they were at least different and new. There were new things to distract you from the weaknesses of the film.

Disney Wars is just a regurgitated OG trilogy but so much worse and lame. They have to have the Rebels still being the Rebels even though these feckers have been in charge of the Galaxy for like 20 years straight. The Rebels are still using starfighters from the Clone Wars for crying out loud.

The New Order should logically be the underdogs but Disney can't conceive of that issue so the guys not in charge of the Galaxy pull out a feckin solar system destroying weapon from their rectum that the Empire couldn't hope to create when it controlled the entire smeggin Galaxy.

The New Republic is so woefully incompetent that it makes the Empire a tolerably viable alternative and the Confederacy of Independent Systems the good guys, that is how retarded Disney is. They unintentionally made the Republic and by extension democracy look completely unsalvageable.

Absolute own goal.

Prequels are very good. The main issue I have seen of prequels is dialogue and acting especially for attack of the clones movie. Sequel even though it copied OG movies was good when it came to first move. Then ryan johnson for some reason thought to reverse all plot points built in force awakens and the last jedi was pure garbage hence.

George Lucas isn't even George Lucas. The original Star Wars was written primarily by a ghost writer named Alan Dean Foster and it's his work that made SW a legend, George Lucas is an opportunist hack.
Interesting. Aside from cinematography and casting I think all nine films are deeply mid, but then I also enjoy these rabbit holes into the history

I feel like there’s some irony to episode 1 and episode 9 being the worst reviewing episodes.

I like Revenge of the Sith a lot but even there I have to consciously ignore the dialogue.

Feel like the prequels beat the sequels because the era is original and an interesting setting for games, shows, and comics, whereas with the sequels it's just the OT again but worse and incoherent.

My hot take is that Return of the Jedi isn't that good.

Episodes 4 and 5 were co-directed by Steven Spielberg.

Episode 6 is the first one directed by George Lucas and I feel like you can tell with all childish Ewok nonsense, the nonsensical plan to rescue Han from Jaba, and the emperor dying in maybe the lamest way possible.

George is a good creative/setting builder but he's a terrible writer/director if we're being honest.
